About Imperative Systems

Imperative Systems is a privately-owned company established in 2017 to enable the National Security Community to achieve their critical missions effectively, efficiently and securely.  We provide expeditionary mission support, critical infrastructure protection and strategic advisory services on a worldwide basis to support the National Security Community. We are adaptive and agile, in order to meet the emerging needs of our specialized clientele.  We strive to build a culture of excellence, to build a team of the best people, equipped with the best skills and technical support to deliver results that exceed expectations, even in the most difficult circumstances.

Imperative Systems is currently seeking a Counter Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) Support Technician (CST) to perform advanced configuration, installation, troubleshooting, and field support of networked C-UAS systems and components in production and operational environments. Systems include: disparate command and control (C2) platforms, C-UAS radars, electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) cameras, passive detection systems, various detectors and effectors, Environmental/Power Monitoring Systems, and Layer 2/3 Network Appliances (Routers, Switches, Firewalls). The CST integrates all systems to provide situational awareness to the end user using a common C2 human-machine interface.

The client requires significant medical screening, examinations, and testing for this position. Candidates will receive a contingent offer based on successful completion of government medical requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct site surveys including electrical/network infrastructure assessments, Line-of-Sight evaluations, and workstation integration planning for new C-UAS deployments
  • Perform system installations at operational sites—both supervised with reach-back support and unsupervised at established facilities—including replacement of field nodes
  • Configure system networking (IP addressing, managed switch integration, NetPlan changes) and add/calibrate sensors within the C2 platform
  • Perform UI masking, calibration, and profile configuration for C-UAS radar and sensor families (e.g., CACI, BlueHalo, and similar systems)
  • Set up and operate RF spectrum analysis tools to observe spectrum, identify known signals, classify signals of interest, and conduct direction-finding and RF surveys at new locations
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting of C-UAS systems independently, utilizing CLI tools, network analyzers, and remote diagnostic techniques
  • Execute network and system administration tasks via command-line interfaces including secure file transfer, remote terminal access, and network discovery tools
  • Fabricate, terminate, and repair network cables (Cat5e/Cat6), LMR cables, and fiber optic cables as required for installations and equipment repair
  • White-list selected signals on deployed systems and manage system configuration profiles
  • Serve as Site Lead during operational periods, including schedule creation, personnel contingency planning, and delivery of Site Capabilities briefings
  • Prepare and submit Weekly Activity Reports (WAR) and maintain all project documentation, as-builts, and configuration records
  • Provide onsite training to end users on all integrated systems and deliver remote troubleshooting assistance
  • Adhere to standards and commissioning procedures; understand and follow project designs and schematics
Maintain clear written and verbal communication with program management, end users, and stakeholders

Employees can expect to perform international travel up to 75% of the time depending on mission requirements. Candidates should be willing to travel/TDY away from their home location for up to 75% of a typical work year.
