Our Ideal Candidate

As a Geomatics Technician, you will support survey and engineering projects by processing data, performing calculations, and assisting with deliverables. You are detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working both independently and with a team.

 

A Day in the Life

  • Process and interpret survey data
  • Perform quality control checks on field returns
  • Complete survey calculations (traverses, closures)
  • Draft survey plans using Civil 3D/AutoCAD
  • Generate surfaces and volume calculations
  • Support engineering layout and construction surveys
  • Assist field crews and prepare reports (stakeout, as-builts)
  • Support UAV / LiDAR data processing as needed

 

What You’ll Bring to the Team

  • Diploma or degree in Geomatics, Surveying, Civil, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant survey/geomatics experience
  • Experience with Trimble Business Centre (TBC)
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D and/or AutoCAD
  • Strong understanding of construction survey practices
  • Good communication and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
