The Lower Colorado River Authority is looking for a motivated and safety-focused UAS Pilot to join our growing team! This entry level position plays a key role in performing flight operations, collecting high-quality data, and maintaining the integrity and performance of our drone systems.

As a UAS Pilot at LCRA, you are responsible for planning and completing flight missions, operating as Pilot in Command (PIC), and ensuring a safe and professional on-site environment. You'll also gain valuable experience in UAS troubleshooting, post-flight data processing and contributing to an innovative team collecting remotely sensed data.

You will be trusted to:

- Assist in aircraft pre-flight inspection and mission planning
- Perform duties necessary to set survey ground control
- Assist in all pre-flight notifications
- Perform the role of UAS Operator during flights
- Maintain safe operations during flight
- Verify airspace conditions during missions
- Determine airworthiness of craft, and perform maintenance on aircraft, as necessary
- Perform as visual observer during UAS flights
- Process and manipulate UAS and remotely sensed data
- Troubleshoot issues with equipment and software

You qualify with:

- One or more years of experience in UAS field operations.
- One or more years of experience or exposure to surveying, GIS, remote sensing, photogrammetry, and/or aviation.
- Technical training may substitute for experience.
- Driver’s license
- Remote Pilot UAS License (FAA issued)
