Role and Responsibilities
The Site Monitor is responsible for managing the 412 Squash Court floors, being responsive to members and guests by ensuring that all players are adhering to the facilities policies and codes of conduct. This person also maintains the tidiness of the space, and answers questions related to court facilities, programming and squash memberships. The site monitor also assists in gathering contact information and sales and serves as a liaison and ambassador between all constituents of the 412 Squash Association - the customer, coaches, campus safety, and facilities teams.
Specific Responsibilities
Essential Functions
Arrive 30 minutes early to prepare the setup for all courts
Responsible for the opening/closing of courts and any necessary setup and breakdown
Ensure that all equipment is stored securely in the right place at the conclusion of each session
Greeting all players, spectators and caregivers and welcoming them to the 412 Squash Center
Maintain a clean, safe and organized facility ensuring that all bags and jackets are stored on hooks
Ensure that students are supervised and engaged at all times
Ensure that players are adhering to facility policies and procedures and refraining from using their cell phones
Develop client relationships and encourage referrals for new memberships
Administer first-aid and emergency care to any player or spectator in need of assistance
Work as a team with all building departments
Communicate and report on all covered squash sessions with the Director of Auxiliary Programs and the Director of Squash
Available to work occasional weeknight special events and/or squash programming on weekends
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
Other Functions
Be knowledgeable about all programs and activities offered by the 412 Squash Association
Promote 412 Squash Association programs and services
Assist with keeping the 412 Squash Center tidy and clean
Attend all 412 Squash Association meetings and trainings
Requirements
Strong communication skills
Customer service oriented
Previous experience working in customer service and education is a plus
Capacity to multitask
Be a team player and show a willingness to learn new things and seek professional development opportunities
Passion for fitness, health and wellness coaching and teaching
AED/First Aid CPR certified
Must complete sexual harassment and mandated reporter trainings
Must complete the requisite background check and provide proof of citizenship or legal status
Must show up on time and clean up before leaving
Must communicate any absences in advance
Must be willing to attend meetings and assist in any special events
