The Survey Project Manager, Geomatics, is responsible for managing large-scale, complex survey projects and supporting market growth through client relationship management and business development. This role provides leadership to project teams, oversees financial and technical performance, and serves as a trusted advisor to clients. The Senior Project Manager also mentors junior project managers, contributes to market strategies, and ensures projects align with the firm’s technical and business standards.
Primary Essential Functions:
- Lead management of large, complex, and multi-phase survey projects, ensuring delivery on scope, budget, schedule, and quality.
- Manage survey projects from end to end, while remaining profitable, on-schedule, and within budget constraints.
- Build and maintain client relationships, ensuring ongoing communication about project scope and delivery.
- Work on many different types of survey including but not limited to boundary, ALTA, topographic, existing conditions, right-of-way, transmission line, transportation, construction, and others.
- Work in teams and individually to manage aspects of they typical survey projects, including project schedules, goals, and directing efforts of our field crews and technicians.
- Oversee the preparation of maps and plats, legal descriptions and all other deliverables while directing field work and associated quality reviews throughout the project delivery process.
- Support Market Director in developing market strategies and pursuing new opportunities.
- Represent the firm in client meetings, industry events, and professional associations.
- Ensure compliance with applicable technical standards, regulations, and quality assurance procedures.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant surveying experience.
- Skills in LiDAR feature extraction, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Smartsheet, and Deltek Vision
- Minimum of 5 years of surveying-related CAD experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience dealing directly with clients and managing projects
- High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in related discipline preferred.
- You have your Fundamentals of Survey (FS) with ability to obtain North Carolina Professional Land Surveyor License (PLS) within 1 year
